Most Reverend Paul J. Swain, Bishop Emeritus of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Bishop Swain was ordained as a priest of the Diocese of Madison on May 27, 1988 and was an alumnus of Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary.

Mass of the Holy Spirit and A New Formation Year
On Friday, September 2, 2022, Cardinal Seán Patrick O’Malley, Archbishop of Boston, presided at Mass of the Holy Spirit with the Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary community. This Mass was celebrated to seek God’s blessings as we begin a new formation year for men studying for priesthood.
