I was born and raised in Mexico as a cradle Catholic. I have an Electrical Engineering degree and worked with transformers for 30+ years, specializing in high voltage testing. I was sponsored to work in the US, and I eventually obtained permanent residency and then citizenship. I then worked as a transformer consultant/inspector and traveled the world on behalf of utilities purchasing large power transformers.

A relocation to Georgia brought me to a return to God through the Sunday Mass. It started with adult faith formation and then further involvement in various ministries. A gradual interest in the permanent diaconate culminated with ordination as a permanent deacon on May 25, 2024.

I was first called to married life for 28 years when my wife passed after an aggressive bile duct cancer. As a father of two independent young adults, there was no delay in my openness and ability to serve the Lord. Guided by the experience and support of my vocation director, Pope St. John XXIII was the most suitable option to continue discerning the priesthood.
