I was born in Wilmington, Delaware and my family lived in Victoria, Texas and Aiken, South Carolina during my childhood. I always enjoyed going to Mass as a child and have always had an attraction to serving others stemming from Catholic education, serving Mass, and the example of my parents in service to the Church. After our family moved to South Carolina, I attended the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics, then received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of South Carolina, followed by a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Since then, I have worked in the semiconductor and nuclear industries as a manufacturing development engineer and a Professional Engineer licensed in South Carolina.

I started taking the call to priesthood seriously as an undergraduate but felt that I needed life experience and a better understanding of spiritual discernment to ascertain where God was calling me. As a result, I undertook the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola in 2006 and since then have been heavily involved with parish ministry including music, religious education, ministering to the sick, and training liturgical ministers. After completing an assignment at Los Alamos National Laboratory, I was fortunate to have Bishop Emilio Agüero and Bishop Frank Dewane offer me the chance to study for the priesthood here at Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary with Fr. Kiely and the faculty being kind enough to accept me. I look forward to continuing to serve the Holy People of God as a priest of the Diocese of Venice.
