I was born in Boston and now live on Cape Cod. I am from a large family with six siblings. I attended High School at Xaverian Brothers in Westwood, Mass. I graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, with a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Science.
Prior to entering the seminary, I spent my career flying airplanes. I have accumulated over 24,500 flight hours. I have spent the last 27 years flying for a major airline based at JFK, New York.
I always felt a tug or an attraction to the role of a priest, the role that brings people closer to Christ. I began seriously discerning by spending more time in prayer with the Blessed Sacrament and self-reflection. I had a commitment to daily Mass, and I would seek a Catholic Church wherever work would take me - London, Madrid, Milan, whatever layover city I was assigned.
My parents were very faithful; they taught us virtues and how to love the Faith, and the simple things. My siblings and their families are a big part of my life.
