I was born and raised in Wichita, KS but moved to the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas for my job. I started out as a vocal performance major in college but changed my major to nursing when my father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Over the years, I have worked as a registered nurse in most ICU and ER settings including cardiac, surgical, trauma and pediatric. During that time, I received my MBA and became the Chief Nursing Officer at a hospital near Kansas City.
I felt a call to the priesthood at a young age but school and other things in life got in the way. After reaching the height of my career I asked myself, “Is there something more?” That question led me back to confession, led me to start a men's group and to start attending daily Mass. This change made me fall in love with my faith all over again. I feel that Pope St. John XXIII is the perfect place for me to bring all of my life experiences and love of God together. I know that this seminary will help to grow and strengthen my faith in order for me to lead others to Christ.
