Bill was born in Clinton, Massachusetts, and grew up in neighboring town Lancaster. His favorite subjects in school were Mathematics, French, and Science, and he spent most of his career in Software Engineering and Business Administration as a computer programmer, project manager, and business manager for a multi-line insurance carrier in Central Massachusetts. Bill was ordained as a Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Worcester in 2013. After retiring professionally in 2017, he was appointed by the bishop to the role of Director of the Diaconate, where he was blessed to serve his brother deacons and candidates until 2023.
Although Bill has discerned his vocation over many years through prayer and spiritual direction, his vocational call led him to the priesthood at a later stage in his life. Through conversations with his spiritual director, pastor, and bishop, he had no doubt that it came time for him to apply to PSJS. By the grace of God and through the support of his family, friends, and spiritual guides, he was accepted into priestly formation to begin his journey toward the priesthood.
