Deacon Daniel Bassile
Class Year

Before entering PSJS, I worked as an Elevator Mechanic for 39 years, retiring in July 2023.  I have been actively living out my faith for many years as a Catechist, Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan and Reader.  By God’s mercy, grace and blessing, I was Ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on October 3, 2020.

While assisting at Mass as a Deacon, I felt a burning in my heart during the Consecration that I was in the wrong spot, that Jesus was inviting me to be the one who He uses to Consecrate the Blessed Sacrament.  After a period of time, I sought out a Spiritual Director who shared with me how he came to PSJS.  The rest has been an amazing blessing, as I was accepted and am now a Seminarian at PSJS.
