Bill comes to Pope St. John XXIII from the Diocese of Orlando, where he had a twenty-three-year career working in parish religious education, diocesan ministry certification, high school theological instruction, pastoral ministry, and parish administration.
“As a young adult I felt a calling to the priesthood, but I was reluctant to make the commitment. Instead, as a lay person, I went into theological studies and entered parish ministry. My first vocation has been raising my wonderful daughter who is now twenty-one and attends Florida State University. She is extremely supportive of my discernment process…and had the wonderful idea of driving up from Florida with me to ‘drop me off at school’ and then fly back home. It was a cherished road trip. Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary has a great reputation among the clergy of my diocese. My bishop, pastor, and diocesan vocations committee believe this seminary is the best place for my formation, and I certainly agree. It is a blessing to be here.”
