Before Bob entered the doors at Pope St. John XXIII, he practiced civil law for thirty years, as a litigator and trial lawyer. He practiced out of Kansas City though the practice was national in scope. Roughly the last 15 years of his career was focused on the defense of cases in the areas of environmental law and toxic tort.
“My first real sense of a call that made me consider the priesthood came when I was a sophomore in college in 1986. At that time, I was attending school in Rome and was blessed to have an opportunity to encounter and speak with Pope John Paul II. He had a profound impact on me. Through the years, I started seminary studies on two prior occasions, but didn’t complete formation. When I reapplied to the Archdiocese of Kansas City in 2021, I was invited to apply to PSJ XXIII.”
