Ernesto was born in Havana, Cuba and after high school entered the Vincentian Fathers Seminary College where he studied philosophy. He then worked in the banking industry for three years before moving to Miami and earning an Associate in Culinary Arts degree. He worked as a restaurant chef for 8 years and then moved to Astoria, Ny where he worked as a personal chef. Ernesto was very active in his local parish, St. Joseph’s, serving as an acolyte, catechist and Director of Religious Education (DRE). “While serving as the DRE, my pastor, Fr Miceli (no relation!) introduced me to Bishop Massa and the Brooklyn Vocations Office which, in turn, then led me to PSJS”
