Ten Seminarians Installed as Acolytes

website story acolyte 2023

On February 8, 2023, Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary was blessed to have Bishop John Noonan of the Diocese of Orlando preside over the institution of ten seminarians to the Ministry of Acolyte. The installation Mass plays an important role in the formation of these men in their journey towards becoming priests. As an acolyte, each man’s primary role will be assisting the deacon and priest during Mass. They may also serve as Extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at Mass, bring Holy Eucharist to the sick, and participate in other tasks while aiding the priest and deacon during liturgical celebrations.

The men who were installed as acolytes include: Fritz A. Anacreon, Archdiocese of Boston; Christopher A. Aubrey, Diocese of Worcester; Giris Y. Azize, Archdiocese of Boston; Stephen L. Baruffi, Archdiocese of Boston; Gerald T. Foley, Diocese of Brooklyn; Carlos A. Geleso, Diocese of Venice; Paul L. Landi, Diocese of Beaumont; Mark J. Morano, Diocese of Paterson; A. Thomas Rashid, Archdiocese of Boston; Nicholas E. Wencis, Diocese of Manchester

Please join us in praying for these men as they continue on their journey of studying to become priests so they may serve God and His people.
